Globespan Infrastructure is appointed as Lead International Contractor for the Schools Poultry Farms Project, a national initiative valued at $200 million.

The programme establishes six hatcheries, 150 grow-out farms and supporting abattoir and processing facilities to provide a sustainable supply of poultry products for the nation’s national school feeding programme.

Each grow-out farm will supply 100 schools, improving nutrition for millions of students while reducing dependence on imported products.

Designed to international agricultural and food safety standards, the project includes off-grid energy and water systems, integration with local feed suppliers and a manure-to-fertiliser value chain to enhance circular sustainability.

It also incorporates the country’s National Service Programme, offering young people agricultural training and employment.​Delivered under a FIDIC Silver Book contract, the programme strengthens domestic food production, supports youth employment and reinforces food security, education and rural development.
